Bravely Second is insane because one moment it’s like “here’s a mini idle game you can leave on while getting up to go to the the bathroom or something to make extra cash where the party creates stuffed animals complete with silly animations and music” and then immediately after you do a sidequest that’s like “Edea how do you feel about nuclear power.” And I think that’s beautiful
jeff davis made derek hale up specifically so he could get dunked on forever and be universally despised but then he let a bunch of other people look at him (Audience with problems and great taste) and they were like. well he has immense pathos and a dead family and the face of someone who shouldn’t be real.
